FAQ: Kaweah Health Medical Group

As of May 1, 2023, Kaweah Health is no longer partnered with Visalia Medical Clinic (VMC) at 5400 West Hillsdale. Below are answers to some frequently asked questions regarding VMC.

1. Why did Kaweah health leave Visalia Medical Clinic?

It was VMC’s decision to end the agreement. VMC asked for an early exit from its 10-year professional services agreement with Kaweah Health, due to expire in 2025.

2. Is Kaweah Health providing any support to Visalia Medical Clinic during this transition?

On June 30, 2022, Kaweah Health was informed of VMC’s intent to terminate their contract agreement. Since then, Kaweah Health has invested thousands of hours supporting and facilitating the transition. At the request of both VMC and Adventist Health, Kaweah Health has also agreed to continue supporting their telecommunications, information technology, and other infrastructure systems and needs for the next several months following the transition.

3. Can I become a patient at Kaweah Health?

Yes. Kaweah Health has clinics across Tulare County providing primary care, walk-in care, and specialty services. The Kaweah Health Medical Clinic in Visalia is open and accepting patients:

Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. 8 p.m., Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
