Vision

Our Emergency Department Advisory Council (EDAC) partners patients and their family members with health care providers to enhance Emergency Department experiences at Kaweah Health. Patients and their family members serve on our EDAC to ensure the patient and family perspective is used to co-design safe, high-quality patient-centered emergency care and services.

Membership Guidelines

  1. Patients, family members, and health care providers from Kaweah Health are eligible to participate. Members must be committed to building a partnership of advisors and employees working to understand the needs of the community they represent. They must support collaboration to co-design programs and policies to effectively address health care challenges and enhance patient experience in the Emergency Department.
  2. The group will consist of 10-12 advisors (patients, caregivers, and/or family members) to allow for open and vibrant discussions. The EDAC will also include 4-6 Kaweah Health employees.
  3. Membership term is 2 years. Members whose terms are expiring may re-apply (not re-applying) for membership.
