The Critical Care Nursing Internship (CCNI) program starts March 4, 2024.


Applications accepted through February 10, 2024.


Overview

This 12-week program is designed to train and transition RNs into Kaweah Health Medical Center and the critical care environment.


Program Benefits

  • Gain experiences, skills, and resources to help you grow as a professional.
  • Shadow critical care RNs and work in various critical care areas to gain skills, confidence and knowledge of critical care nursing processes.
  • Learn from case studies.
  • Develop your critical thinking skills.

Who can apply?

  • RNs with fewer than 6 months of RN experience
  • Upcoming fall 2023 nurse graduates

Where you will learn

Nurses in the program will be assigned to the Critical Care Float Nursing Division. Here, you will
engage in didactic learning and participate in rotations throughout the critical care environment.

These will include

  • Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
  • Cardiovascular Intermediate Critical Care Unit (CVICCU)
  • Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (ICCU)


After successful completion of the course, you will have opportunity to apply to one of the four critical care units of choice.
