Why I chose Kaweah Health:

“There is such an evidently strong support system and camaraderie between the faculty & residents at Kaweah. The anesthesia family made me feel so much at home from the very beginning. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to partake in a growing legacy and learn from a phenomenal team that always strives for constant improvement. “

Lincoln Memorial University- DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine

Why I chose Kaweah Health:

“I was attracted to the Anesthesiology residency at Kaweah Health by early exposure to complex cases, supportive faculty, and a culture that values education. During my MS4 away rotation, I appreciated a collegial environment among residents from all programs. I was excited to learn Kaweah Health has a thriving Cardiac program affiliated with Cleveland Clinic, Neurosciences program affiliated with USC, sim lab with TEE, and educational opportunities for residents performing fellow-level cases. I wanted a culture supportive of fellowship, but one that provides solid training for any practice setting after residency. Importantly, I felt supported in having a family while being a resident at Kaweah Health.

Visalia: Visalia is my hometown! I enjoy our walkable downtown along Main street with many privately owned restaurants just steps from the hospital, clean parks, and views of the Sierra Nevadas. We enjoy weekend trips to the mountains and Central CA coast, or just grilling at home with friends. I am able to afford a house for my family of five with a yard in a safe neighborhood, and have great choices for leisure travel. “

Why I chose Kaweah Health:

" I very much enjoyed the residents’ and faculty’s company on my interview day. Also, as a hospital in central valley, it helps a lot of underserved patient population. Finally, the location is great for me, mid-point between my significant other and my parents."

Why I chose Kaweah Health:

"During my interview, I felt a strong sense of camaraderie among the residents and faculty. As a new and tight-knit program, I knew that my education and wellbeing will be a high priority here. I also want to serve those who have limited access to healthcare, and KD is one of the only large healthcare institutions in the area. I’m also an outdoor enthusiast, so KD’s close proximity to national parks such as Yosemite and Sequoia National Park is a major plus!"

Why I chose Kaweah Health:

"I was initially drawn to Kaweah Delta due to close proximity to family, friends, and national parks. That holds true, but I realized that the residency program provides much more with excellent medical training by being the only anesthesiology residency program serving Central California, and welcoming culture that was difficult to come by."
