Shoulder and Knee Replacement
When Mary Akin’s knee, then shoulder began keeping her from her favorite activities, she looked to Dr. Bruce Le to help.
As a farmer’s wife, whose life has been filled with everything from weeding to tying grapes to looking over cattle, Akin couldn’t let injuries slow her down.
In December 2010, Dr. Le repaired her rotator cuff with surgery, then in March 2011, he replaced her knee following a meniscus tear.
Although Akin’s schedule is not quite as hectic these days due to the passing of her husband, she still feels the need to be in tip-top shape for her work around the house. Thanks to Dr. Le, Akin said her knees work great and is surprised by the range of motion that she has in her arm and shoulder.
“I have no pain, no problems with either knees or shoulder, ” Akin said. “I really do feel like I am a miracle and I do believe with all the faith in the world in [Dr. Le]. ”
