Young Adult Volunteer Program

The Young Adult Volunteer Program at Kaweah Health is for ages 18-30 year of age.

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others and contribute your time, energy and skills? As a Young Adult Volunteer you will give back to the community as well as meet new people. Other benefits include learning and career exploration, and health care-related college opportunities.

Choose the Opportunity That Speaks to You

Whether it is doing service on our Nursing units and learning creativity in the marketing department or assisting guests with wayfinding we will work with you to meet your needs and desires. Here are a few examples of available opportunities:

  • Clerical (no weekend or evening shifts)
  • Clinical departments
  • Lobby guest ambassador
  • Pharmacy (limited, and primarily clerical)
  • Transportation Aide
  • Mother/Baby Unit
  • Mail Room
  • Marketing
  • Environmental Services

We ask that you make a commitment of at least six (6) months to one year of volunteering with us and you will need to commit of a minimum of four (4) hours of volunteer service once per week. You also will be required to have a TB skin test; drug test and background check which is done at our cost. During flu session you will be provided with a free flu shot.
