Applying

Kaweah Health's Family Medicine Residency program can be located in ERAS and NRMP using the following name: [1200500714] Kaweah Delta Health Care District (KDHCD) Program (Family Medicine).

Following are a few requisites which will be taken into consideration during the review of applications:

  • Completed ERAS Application
  • Score of 210 or higher on USMLE Step 1 (or comparable score on COMLEX Step 1)
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • Medical School Transcript
  • Dean’s Letter
  • Personal Statement
  • Graduated from Medical School within the last 2 years

International Medical School Graduates must also:

  • Have graduated from a Medical School recognized by the State of California (NOTE: PTALs will no longer be required by the program or the CA Medical Board due to the fact that each candidate matching with a residency in the State of CA after January 1, 2020 must be issued a Training License.)
  • Submit ECFMG Certification
  • Include proof of recent, relevant experience in the U.S. Medical System

Should you meet the above criteria, we encourage you to apply to our program through ERAS as we begin accepting applications in the fall.

Please note that we are not:

  • Providing Visa Sponsorship
  • Reviewing application materials submitted outside of ERAS
  • Distributing application materials
  • Offering observership positions
  • Filling positions outside of the Match
  • Offering off-cycle positions

While a firm application deadline has not been set, and an interview position cannot be guaranteed, we highly recommend that completed applications be received no later than December 1.
