Baking Competition at Kaweah Health Medical Center in Celebration of Nurses Week

When: 9:00 a.m., Monday, May 8, 2023.

Where: Kaweah Health Acequia Wing (lobby), 305 W. Acequia Ave., Visalia, CA 93291

What: In honor of National Nurses Week, Kaweah Health is holding the second annual Bake Wars, a baking competition open to all of its staff members.

Who will be there: Judges will include local celebrities and public figures including Super Heavyweight Boxer and Olympic Silver Medalist Richard “Kiki” Torres Jr., Visalia Mayor Brian Poochigian, and Central California Regional Coordinator at Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom Jose Verduzco.

Competitors can compete in five categories: cakes/cupcakes, pies, cookies, bars, and an open category for other items. Awards will be given for the top three entries based on taste, presentation, and creativity.

Kaweah Health observes Nurses Week each year from May 6 – 12 to celebrate the incredible work of nurses and recognize their contributions to excellent community health.
