VISALIA, CA – The first baby of 2022 has been born at Kaweah Health Medical Center.
Eliette Brigitte Ramos Calix, born at 3:21 a.m., became the first baby of 2022 delivered at Kaweah Health in Visalia. Born to Elsy Calix Murcia and Jose Ramos of Dinuba, Eliette weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 inches in length. She is the couple’s first child and was one of five babies delivered on Jan. 1 as of 12:48 p.m. at Kaweah Health Medical Center.
“We thank God that we had a healthy baby,” said Elsy, who had been in the hospital since being admitted on Dec. 30, her due date. “Our plan for 2022 is to go home and enjoy her.”
Eliette’s father Jose said he knew his daughter was coming soon, but he never expected to meet her on New Year’s Day. “It was very nice and beautiful and it was a blessing to have her on New Year’s Day,” he said.
Eliette’s parents Elsy and Jose received a New Year’s gift basket from staff members of Kaweah Health’s Mother-Baby Department.
