Many New Projects Starting in 2026
The opening of the Exeter Lab Draw Station is just the first of many projects scheduled to be finished in 2026.
We are most excited that CDPH has scheduled its survey of our new Akers medical clinic for Monday, April 6. We expect to be able to open that facility as early as April 20.
A new Kaweah Health Therapy Specialist location in Tulare is opening in the spring of 2026.
We also anticipate finalizing the consolidation of our lab draw station in the Willow Plaza and the Mineral King Lobby. Both of those will move to the first floor of 202 W. Willow across from our Retail Pharmacy.
Another exciting thing happening in the spring will be the groundbreaking on our new Mental Health Expansion, which will add beds for minors and transitional age youth up to 21 years old. This will be a nice support to our Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit.
The respiratory therapy space and conference room on the second floor of the Acequia Wing are still on track to be completed by the end of April. The PACU refresh should be finished this summer, hopefully by the end of July.
A preliminary schematic design for the Tiny Feet, Big Steps project in pediatrics and the Broderick Pavilion are being reviewed internally. The plans for that project should be ready to submit to the state by the end of April. Similarly, design is wrapping up on the Mineral King second floor center ORs to become outpatient pulmonology procedure rooms. That design should be submitted to the state by the end of March.
Our Medical Research Center project has finally been approved. A start date will be determined as soon as Clinical Engineering finishes its new equipment implementation which is currently using the space through April.
Finally, we are still awaiting state approval for the surgeon locker room and physician lounge updates. We apologize for the inconvenience, but unfortunately we are at the mercy of the state's timeline.
