Board of Directors
Kaweah Health is governed by a board of directors made up of five publicly-elected directors, elected by zone (*) for four-year terms. Each month, the board holds regular meetings at Kaweah Health. This governing body is responsible for the safety and quality of care, treatment, and services provided district wide. This board also establishes policy, promotes performance improvement, and provides for organizational management and planning.

2026 General Election for the Board of Directors
Notice is hereby given that the nomination period for the 2026 General Election for the Kaweah Health Board of Directors will open on Monday, July 13, 2026, and close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026.
The following Board of Directors zones are scheduled for election:
- Zone 2 – Currently represented by Director Jonna Schengel
- Zone 4 – Currently represented by Director David Francis
Important Information
- If no qualified candidate files nomination papers for a zone in which the incumbent is eligible and seeking re-election, the incumbent may be appointed to the office in lieu of holding an election, in accordance with applicable provisions of the California Elections Code.
- If one or more qualified candidates file nomination papers for a zone, the office will be placed on the ballot for the November 3, 2026, General Election, and voters residing within that zone will elect their representative.
Kaweah Health encourages eligible community members who are interested in serving their community to consider becoming a candidate for the Board of Directors.
