Community Advisory Councils

Community Advisory Councils

Kaweah Health partners with community members who want to make a meaningful impact on local healthcare. Through our Community Advisory Councils, individuals share their perspectives and help us better understand the needs of the people we serve across Tulare County and the greater Visalia region.

These councils play an important role in shaping services, improving experiences, and guiding how we care for our community.

We accept applications on an ongoing basis. When a position becomes available, applicants will be contacted for consideration and review.

The Diversity and Community Relations Council provides feedback on the diverse needs of the communities Kaweah Health serves. Members help guide community outreach, marketing, and communications to ensure they are inclusive, culturally responsive, and reflective of community perspectives. The council also supports building strong partnerships between Kaweah Health and local organizations.

The Emergency Department Advisory Council (EDAC) partners patients and their family members with healthcare providers to enhance the Emergency Department experience. Members provide input to support safe, high-quality, patient-centered emergency care and help improve processes, communication, and overall patient satisfaction.

The Healthcare for Today and Tomorrow Council works with Kaweah Health to evaluate current healthcare services and identify opportunities for improvement. Members provide recommendations and share insights that help shape future healthcare programs, services, and long-term planning to better meet the needs of the community.

The Hospital of the Future Council partners community members with Kaweah Health leadership to plan for future healthcare facilities and technology. Members provide input on hospital design, innovation, and emerging healthcare needs to help ensure our facilities support high-quality care, advanced technology, and a positive patient experience for years to come.

The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) partners patients and their family members with healthcare providers to improve the patient and family experience at Kaweah Health. Members help co-design safe, high-quality, patient-centered care by sharing their perspectives and providing feedback on services, programs, and care delivery.
