Visitor Requirements

  • Check in with a screener and receive a visitor's badge. Visitors are encouraged to wear a surgical mask if they have symptoms of illness or allergies, or immunocompromised. Visitors may be required to mask once on the unit if the patient is in isolation.
  • Visitors ages 15 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Minors 16 years old and older are allowed to visit unaccompanied.
  • Exceptions for all patients regardless of diagnosis — Variation in times of visitation, number at the bedside, and age of visitor may be considered depending on situations including but not limited to end-of-life, change in level of care, deteriorating condition, major surgery with high risk of death, and mental status. Visitation may be limited or restricted by hospital leadership if the visitor(s) are being loud or disruptive in anyway (Policy AP119).

The following changes are effective Nov. 3, 2025

Routine Patient Visitation

  • Two (2) visitors at the bedside at a time 8 AM to 9 PM. for Medical Surgical units, Intermediate Critical Care units, Intensive Care units, and Mother Baby/Postpartum. Additional visitors may wait in main lobbies or unit waiting areas.
  • Visitors will be able to access the Medical Center through the Acequia Wing Lobby and the Mineral King Wing Lobby during those hours.
  • Visitors in a room will be limited to 2 to 3 at a time in all areas, except where guidelines indicate only 1 at a time, or when exceptions are approved by unit leadership.
  • Quiet time is all the time. Both staff and families are expected to be quiet in the corridors and while visiting in the patient room and be considerate of all patients and other visitors.
  • Eating is allowed only in the public dining areas and, with the patient's permission, in the patient's room.
  • One (1) overnight visitor is allowed. Overnight visitors must be at least 18 years old. They must check back in at the main entrance to receive an overnight visitor badge before doors lock at 9 p.m. There will be no re-entry after 9 p.m.
