Philanthropic Support for Quality Medical Services

Kaweah Health Foundation was founded in 1979, and since then has raised more than $81.5 million for our hospital. Philanthropic support has been an essential part of our growth, and has helped us save countless lives. Investments from the community assist our efforts to equip our facility with the latest technology that allows patients to remain in the local area while receiving care. As technology advances, so does our ability to diagnose problems earlier, and perform surgeries that are minimally invasive.

The Foundation has helped fund the following:

  • Brain Lab and SS8 Neurosurgical Equipment
  • Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)
  • Cardiac Surgery Center
  • Breast Health Center
  • Endoscopy Ultra Sound
  • Emergency Department
  • Fetal Heart Monitors
  • Helipad
  • Acequia Hospital Wing Campaign
  • Acute Care Ventilators
  • Labor and Delivery unit
  • True Beam Cancer Radiation Technology
Importance of Community Investment

As the only hospital in Visalia, and the only trauma center between Fresno and Bakersfield, it is of the utmost importance that we have the space and amenities needed to treat hundreds of patients for a variety of conditions. The comprehensive care we offer today is all thanks to our generous community and the Kaweah Health Foundation's tireless efforts. Money is raised through capital campaigns, grants from companies, the Annual Golf Classic, and beneficiary designations from wills and trusts.

Our Foundation is managed by a board of generous volunteers. They are responsible for organizing major events and keeping our hospital at the forefront of healthcare. Check in regularly for updates on events, memorials, and new services hosted by the Kaweah Health Foundation.
