Medical Surgical (Med-Surg) is the largest nursing specialty that delivers care to adults with a variety of medical or surgical issues. Our Med-Surg units have a nurse to patient ratio of 1 to 4 or 1 to 5 depending on the patient condition.

Unit Specific Description

This 36-bed Med-Surg unit cares for a variety of patients, specializing in oncology and palliative care. In addition, 3South is the designated End-of-Life unit, supporting the patient and family during this difficult transition. RN’s gain expert knowledge in cancer treatment; during the course of time and training will become oncology certified and chemotherapy competent.
