Emma Camarena

EmmaOur winner models the behaviors we hope to see in each of our employees, including kindness, compassion, empathy, strength, patience, and the list goes on. Our honoree is a clinical expert and respected leader who is exceptionally capable of establishing a meaningful connection with everyone they meet. This person’s commitment to patients is honorable and they can often be found at the bedside of critically ill patients, providing them and their families with the support they need during life’s most difficult times. With nearly 30 years of dedicated service to Kaweah Health, our honoree follows up with nurses, uses various strategies for improvement, and partners with physicians and others in her quest to keep our patients safe from harm. In addition to the impact our Employee of the Year has on patients and staff, this person is an asset to the community outside of the hospital’s walls. They are actively involved in their faith community and provide health education to their fellow church members through formal classes and outreach events. This form of outreach helps teach local residents the best in self-care, helping them live more healthy lives. Our winner demonstrates a remarkable passion for lifting others to the highest level of expertise, all while providing patients and the community with an admirable commitment to better health.
